Sunday, January 14th:
We’ve packed it in for Sunday – North Side Kings’ frontman and Danzig foil Danny Marianini will be signing copies of his book (Don't Ever Punch a Rockstar) in the chapel. Sunday as well DiWulf will be hosting two seminars: A Brief History of Punk 'Zines and How To Create An Oral History. A Brief History of Punk 'Zines will be led by Howard Wuelfing, who produced two 'zines in the Washington DC area from 1979-1982. Also joining will be authors Amy Yates Wuelfing, who helped publish Hard Times magazine in the early 80s, author and publisher Steven DiLodovico, and AOD's David Schwartzman, who wrote for several 'zines, including Maximum Rocknroll.
How To Create An Oral History will be led by authors Steven DiLodovico, Amy Yates Wuelfing, (No Slam Dancing), and Marc Wasserman (SkaBOOM!). The first 20 people who purchase the $50 package will get a drink at the bar and a copy of either No Slam Dancing or SkaBOOM! Amy, Steve, and Marc will cover topics like preserving history, subculture, and the craft of writing & publishing.
Wrapping up the day on Sunday there will also be a surprise all-star jam featuring half of CH3 and half of AOD.
The first 20 people to sign up for any of the DiWulf guided tours will
not only get a free book but will also get a complimentary drink! Provided you are 21+, have a valid ID, and are one of the first 20 people to order on any of their tours, DiWulf’s got your first drink covered.
